Health and Safety

All of our survey engineers hold CSCS cards and have carried out the CITB Health and Safety Test.  We have a Method Statement and Risk Assessment in place that covers our standard work practices and prepare bespoke assessments for work falling outside of this.  Copies of these will be made available on request.

We are fully insured and have in place:

  • £1million Public Liability Cover
  • £5million Employers Liability Cover
  • £5 million Public Cover

Copies of all certificates and policies can be supplied on request.

Calibration Certificates and Quality Control

All our equipment is serviced and calibrated on a regular basis and we can provide copies of current calibration certificates if required.

Adjusted tape measures, detail poles and mini prisms are checked to ensure accuracy and adjustments recorded.  Periodic checks are carried out on verticality and horizontal bearing including ATR. Periodic checks on all equipment such as level bubbles are made to ensure they are correctly centered.

Survey station controls should be within 1:20000 tolerance. Surveying of station control will be carried out using either a transverse kit or supported detail pole or mini prism and where required instrument heights will be taken using an adjusted instrument tape measure.

Grid transformation or GPS adjustments are checked by colleagues.

Other Policies

We also have an equal opportunities and environmental policy in place that can be provided on request.
