Topographical Surveys
Using the latest Leica robotic total stations and GPS systems we are able to carry out topographical surveys to your individual specifications. As standard practice we would survey building positions, roads, street furniture, paths boundary details, changes in ground surfaces, tree positions and spread and ground levels on a 10 metre grid. We can relate the surveys to Ordnance Survey datum for level and position or the surveys can be to a local grid datum. These surveys can be produced in both a 2D and 3D format.
Measured Building Surveys
Using the latest survey equipment we are able to provide detailed drawings of individual floor plans and elevation plans. As a standard practice we would show the footprint of the building, internal walls, beam and column positions and window and door openings on an individual floor plan. On elevations we would normally show details such as the outline of the building, window and door positions, and apex and eaves heights. Any other information can be surveyed at the request of the client.
As-Built Surveys
We carry out As-Built surveys for clients including house builders and commercial builders to check the positions and levels of new structures. These can include house positions, road alignment, pile positions, steel position and alignment and drainage position and level.
Survey Updates
If you have an existing survey you would like updating that has either been carried out by us or a different company we can carry out the extra survey work required and relate it to the existing survey.
Check Surveys
If you have had a survey carried out many years ago and would like to know if the survey is still relevant to the site then we can check building positions, ground levels and boundary positions to determine if the survey is still relevant to the site.
Monitoring Surveys
By monitoring land for an agreed period of time we can determine if any ground movement has occurred. To do this we establish a series of permanent markers across the site and resurvey the markers for the agreed period of time to see if the markers have moved in position and level.
River Surveys
River Surveys involve surveying cross sections across the watercourse, elevations of any structures along the water course and flood plain topographical surveys as required. This data can then be used to give an accurate idea of how the river behaves.
Volumetric Surveys
We are able to create 3D models using the latest software to carry out volumetric and modelling calculations. We can use these calculations to help you redesign the levels of the site. We can also provide detailed drawings showing existing ground models, proposed ground models and the difference between the two. This detail can then also be presented as 3D visual pictures showing the two models and how they intersect each other.
Levelling
We are able to transfer levels across building sites or alter existing site levels to ordnance survey datum levels.
Setting Out
We are able to offer a setting out service for the construction industry. This ranges from setting out housing plots, drainage, boundaries, boreholes, roads, bridges to gridlines on small to large scale projects. Other aspects of setting out are carried out on request.
